Class Editors: Connie Walls, Annette Ward, Brenda Waters, Libby Shellnutt, Lea Alley. The 1967-68 Georgian Staff had quite a time meet- ing deadlines and raising money to meet our goal, but we did it! Individual and combined effort was used to complete each section. Those experienced on the staff guided the new members in learning the skills of year- book journalism. Our annual sales topped any others in previous years, adding to the funds which we raised by sponsoring the annual Outstanding Seniors Dance. This year ' s Georgian has many new dimensions in- cluding color pictures and a new screening device for the division pages. The design of the cover is always the biggest decision made and with a joint combination of ideas the staff turned out an originally designed cover with a fabric base. Future Teachers of America Participate in District and State Conventions F.T.A. members enjoy refreshments at a regular monthly meeting which feature speakers in the field of education. The Walter F. George Chapter of the Fu- ture Teachers of America has had a busy year. The officers of this active group are Laura Buckner, president; Nilda Soto, vice-president; and Joyce Jones, secretary-treasurer. Some of the numerous activities in which the F.T.A. has participated involved other chapters of the F.T.A. They again took part in the Fifth District Convention which was held in November with the George Chapter in charge of registration. Cindy Lance was nominated for vice-director of this convention. The George F.T.A. won the attendance prize which was a free trip to the state convention. In February members Nilda Soto, David Hughes, Pam Spears, and Laura Buckner with advisers Miss Evelyn Cawthon and Mrs. Ce- leta Fairley attended this state convention at Rock Eagle.
