The Concert Band plays mainly traditional and popular music and stages two concerts per year: one during the Christmas season and the other during Spring. The band also performs at the Walsh Graduation Ceremonies held at E. 1. Thomas Hall. In the future, the Concert Band should continue to provide both entertainment and a chance for musicians to improve their talents. Directed by Mr. Nelson Gorbach, the Walsh Stage Band is composed of twenty musicians who play jazz selections and classics from the Big Band Era. They perform with the Concert Band at the Christmas and Spring concerts and by themselves at such events as the Freshman Welcome Dinner and the Book Fair.
