Secretaries The Secratatial Department at Walsh includes 6 highly competant ladies who perform vital functions for the school. The secretary who is most familiar to most sutdents is Mrs. Anne Tripp, who works in the Assistant Principal's Office. Other members of the fine staff are Nick Berlingeri and Br. john Petrus, SJ., who watch the school by day, and Darrell Garner and Chris Walker, who watch the school by night. Mr. Thomas Kline tends to the care of our busses. The responsible drivers are joseph Cambria, james Greer, Tim Gottschalk, Bill Hudson, Dave Kline, Maurice Moinette, and Clarence Montgomery. Mary Schieber, Evelyn Sholle, and Stella Worts attend to our nutritional needs during lunch periods. Mrs. Pat Holton, R.N., subdues our ailments and maladies. Br. --.... Bu iness Mrs. joan Kearns chaired the Business and Typing Departments again this year. Under the new curriculum guidelines, Freshmen were required to take one year of typing, along with their Art and Music courses. Mrs. Kearns also taught Typing and Accounting as juniorfSenior electives. She hopes that her departments will continue to provide students with some basic skills which will prove useful in the future. Mr. Shannon and Mr. Benes teach classes in various fields of economics. Father Thomas I. Bain, SJ., founding principal, had this in mind when he originated the Book Fair to add new books each year. The library was named the Bain Library in recognition of his efforts on its behalf. The collection has expanded from 2,000 volumes to more than 12,000 volumes, sixty magazine subscriptions and various A.V. items and other materials for student use.
