Weightlifting Walsh students kept in shape in the well stocked weight room on the north end of the gym. Use of the weight room was not restricted, so even the average guy could come in if he was in the mood to pump iron. The weight room was widely used by atheletes trying to increase their strength as well as anyone else interested in improving their looks and health. The weight room is equipped with a large variety of body building machines. It was usually open after school and even at selected times during the summer. Fr. Dunnigan was the moderator and was of great help to both the experienced weightlifter and the beginner. Fr. Bleacher Bum ll This year's fall play was a Take Me Out comedy entitled Bleacher Bums. It concerned a group of friends who To The Ballgarne attended a St. Louis - Chicago or baseball game in Chicago's famous Wrigley Field. Through a series of bets, broken plays and one or two home runs, relationships were formed and strengthened. Outstanding performances were given by, amoung others, Tim Louis '84, Ken Wemm '84 and Deborah Fratz, from Our Lady of the Elms High School. The play was directed by Mr. Dennis O'Connell.
