, CLASS POEM Hear yef Hear ye! Lend an ear, Of the Senior Class you are about to hear. Shall we start with the three boys ? More? No, thanks, they make enough noise! Now there's Bill Davis, known as Cy George, ' When it comes to girls' hearts, he'll take charge. Or just give him a football suit and a ball, Stop! He's satisfied. But let's not stall. Next on our list of nineteen forty-eight and forty-nine. Is Marion Hensley, and girls, watch his line. We call him Romeo' around these parts, And once you get mixed with hi.m, Bang! Trouble starts. Last of the boys, but not least by all means, ls 'Reece Damron, a Sophomore fan it seems. And when he goes hunting, we can tell, Because the game he catches has a certain smell. Now we see appearing on the stage of life Mrs. Fern Deason, already a wife: Yes, she is busy with house cleaning and stuff. And this mixed with school, believe me, is tough. Now Doris Griffin steps forward to take her place. For none want to be left out of the finishing race. When called, she answers to the name of Shorty, And says she would like to be at least forty. Dorothy Jane Hyles is now waiting her turn, With the idea of college as her concern. When it comes to her fiddle or Evans, she'll beam. And start working out a nice little scheme. While Mary I-Ieartsill, with the big brown eyes, Says in styling of clothing is where her interest lies. She works in the library and reads each day, But if you use any of her brains, brother, you pay. Let's talk about Essie Ruth for a while. She is tall, and very seldom without a smile. A real basket ball player she could be for a song, If she wasn't so slow in her get-a-long. Who is the girl who slings hash in Echol's Cafe ?
