BOTTOM: The study of current events is an impor- tant part of every history class. History courses comprise a traditional part of our curriculum. Lower school students study the history and geog- raphy ot the Western Hemisphere, while high school pupils trace the de- velopment and cultures of nations. The goal is to instill in students a basic knowledge ot the past and a clear understanding of the present. Non-academic studies include art, music, homemaking, and industrial arts. The purpose ot art and music classes is to develop talent and to stimulate appreciation ot line and color, and of classical and modern music, Practical skills ot sewing, cook- ing, and shop work are taught to seventh and eighth graders.
