Afteir going bravely through the Battle of Initiation with the mighty seniors, we em -erged thoroughly initiated and with only a few battle scars (lipstick smudges). The leaders of our regiment were: Joanne Von Hol-ten, President; Bruce Burkey, Vice-President; Nancy Saunders, Secretary-Treasurer. Our studen t council members were: David James, Senator; Margo Ro 11 i ns, Janice Anderson, and Vicky Brown, representatives for first semester; and Larry Franks, Richard B lazier, and Marvin Willstead, as representatives for second semester. Our main maneuver of that year was our trip to Chicago sponsored by G. B. H. I'm sure everyone w i 11 remember it long after they are discharged. Mr. Jupin and Mr. Baxter were our advisors. Now as Sophomores we are advised by Mr. Jupin, Mra Yonk, and Mr. Baxter. In the magazine campaign we sold over $1,000. In the Homecoming Parade our float placed fourth. Janice Anderson and Brooke Hourberg were our attendants to the Homecoming Queen. Our unit is headed this year by Bruce Burkey as President; Larry Franks as Vice-President; Sally Cook as Secretary; and Larry Durham as Treasurer. We elected our new officers as follows: Janet Hussey, president; Paul Cummings, vice-president; and Ronald Fritz, secretary-treasurer. Our Student Council members were Randy Holaway, Vicki Von Hol-ten, Ginger Henline, and Jim Bangston senator. Initiation was our first big experience. We of course enjoyed it very much.
