This three-act comedy was made up of a series of mix-ups to keep the audience interested throughout Vlhat with Janey CPhyll1s Johnsonl primping for the most important date of her whole life and Helen lAn1ta Cameronl her sister interfering we have a common American family before us Mr and Mrs Marble CLou1s Als house and Phyllis McElvan1al have de Clded Janey 1S too young to go steady so decide this will be her last date with George Allen lBob Bolbockl Zip CBette Bolbockl IS drawn away from her swing records to help Janey make a last 1m pression upon George Meanwhile Helen tricks George into going to a dance with her and Janey makes a grand entrance to an absent audience. Janey then gets an ex-boy friend of Helen's in hopes of winning by making George jealous. Evereything backfires and Janey decides to leave home.
