MMM Mew places brought new faces to the campus. There were five senior exchange students who came from various places around the world: Mark Atterbom from Sweden, Erik Klein from Hol- land, Tamoa Makishimafrom Japan, Paloma Olivares from France, and Natasha Nick- laus from West Germany. Also, sophomore Robert Un- zon. All the exchange students felt that the most outstand- ing feature was the enthusi- asm. I like the atmosphere, which is full of spirit. In my other school there were no football nor cheerleaders, said Paloma. The people are friendly and the students have a good relationship with the teachers, said Natasha. The exchange students also felt that student life was different here than in the Eu- ropean countries. You couldn ' t obtain a li- cense until you were 18 there, but you were able to party more because there wasn ' t any drinking age or curfew time, Eric said. Also, the parents are stricter here than in Eu- rope, Mark said.
