A lot of the other teams are starting freshmen and sophomores, but ours being mostly juniors and seniors adds depth as well as exper- ience, said Mountain. Junior Lyn Espinoza, who was a two year varsity start- ing pitcher, said, I think that experience on the varsi- ty level alone Will help us win leaguef, The question for this year was, could the girls continue their winning ways under a new coach? After six years, Ms. Sue Boyette had to give up the team so that she could get her masters degree. Much to the approval of the team, Mountain took over the task. He had coached most of the girls on JV, so he knew what he was taking on. My This is a good group of 4 i girls, there is such an abun- g dance of talent here. They ' have really matured since I Q 4,1-l had them on JV,', said Mountain. i'Mr. Mountain really knows what he's doing on the field. All of us know him and like him, so the season should be successful, said pitcher Debbie Johannsen. Q .ww ,J away ,, f ,M ,ff it PLAY?
