What were they going to do for a living? What college are they going to? What scholarships should they apply for? Each student had to eventually decide what career -they wanted, It was important that they know what classes to take. The information avail- able in the career center helped the students make decisions concerning careers. There were so many scholarships to apply for. Each student who was interested usually filled out several. The chances were better that they would receive a scholarship if they applied for more than one. The counselors were always availa- ble for help in decision making. Diane Mainhurst stated, My counse- lor helped clear up a lot of things about college that I wasn't sure about.
