,ll ll. 1 3 l TRACES OF. . . HARMONY Walnut's Music Department is rapidly expanding. This year Walnut had three chorus groups - Chamber Singers, Les Chanteuses, and Concert Choir. The chorus groups performed at assemblies during the year and participated in the annual Christmas and Spring Concerts. The singers dressed formally for their productions. The Chamber Singers are a special group. They used choreography during their perform- ances. They also performed for various community organizations. Walnut's all-girl chorus chose the name Les Chanteuses because, in french, .it means women singers. The group's performances were characterized by the feminine sound of easy-listening music. Concert Choir was the largest division of singers. They performed several times for the Wal- nut student body. Many of the choir's members also performed in the chorus of WHS dra- matic productions.
