Under the direction of Mr. Richard Massaro, Walnut's new band director, Band and Drill have learned advanced formations and tried new routines. Both Band and Drill held individ- ual activities during the year. Band's annual Christmas and Spring Concerts were well attended. They had three paper drives and one nut sale. The funds from these activities went toward the Band's participation in National City competition. The Drill Team also went to National City Competition. Their fund-raising activities included selling football game ribbons, selling Christmas candles, and holding a rummage sale.
