GIRLS' LEAGUE Girl's League is a growing girls' organization on campus. The girls worked hard throughout the year putting on various activities. Girls' League sponsored their sixth annual Christmas Formal. This year the event's theme was Whispers of Winter and was held in the Penthouse ofthe International Airport Hotel. Once again the Christmas Formal was a great success. Other activities included a Father-Daughter social hour, flower sales on Valentine's Day, May Day and Homecoming. At the end of the year Girls' League held a Mother-Daughter tea that honored the Senior girls. They also sponsored a raffle and three dances throughout the school year.

The Hoofprint is run like any other newspaper, although on a much smaller scale. Reporters researched and wrote arti- cles and submited them for approval. The articles were vari- typed, layouts were drawn up, and paste-ups were completed. All this was done before the printing dead- line. Each staff member had a beat or aspect of student activity about which he was informed. The Hoof- print reported on the many activities on Walnut's campus.
