TRACES OF . . . l ENTERPRISE Veritype. . .Bylines. . .Pasteups . . .Layouts. . .Cutlines. . .Flag . .Sluglines. . .Cropping These are a few of the terms that the members of the Hoofprint Staff must learn and work with. The Hoofprint is run like any other newspaper, although on a much smaller scale. Reporters researched and wrote arti- cles and submited them for approval. The articles were vari- typed, layouts were drawn up, and paste-ups were completed. All this was done before the printing dead- line. Each staff member had a beat or aspect of student activity about which he was informed. The Hoof- print reported on the many activities on Walnut's campus. It informed the students and promoted interest in school affairs. --4 lynstarlli-9 manual? znanaiitwili unwuimfil' iunznfdlui EINGLEWNG :aSPS:ETUi Z Top: Hoofprint Staff.
