Silently searching through my mind For memories of the year Knowing only of the life I leave behind And how it flew so fast My soul is preserved with the beautiful days And happy times I've had But it's hard to forget the sorrowful ways Of things that have made me sad. Visions slowly drift through my head Of friends so close to me. The places we've been and things we've said I can very plainly see. The end has come to my carefree life And I know that it must be A time for decision, a time for strife And responsibility. I collect all thc pieces of my past And carefully put them away.
