The Thespians at Walnut High School are all mem- bers of the International Thespian Society, which is devoted to the ad- vancement and improvement of the- atre arts in high schools. The Thes- pian Society works to educate students in the performing arts and related subjects, and to advance standards and create an enthusiastic and intel- ligent interest in the theatre. To be- come a member one must be active in drama, earning points for partici- pation. After accumulating the nec- essary number of points, new mem- bers go through an informal initiation fwhich is really a surprise attackj, and later a formal initiation. ?
