MOTTO We, the Seniors of Walnut High School, have chosen as our motto, All Good Or Nothing. These words express our desire as we face the world at our graduation in the year of 1950. All Good Or Nothing are the words that we look upon as being the road to our future success. They have been expressed to us in many different forms through the careful guidance and fine leadership of our teachers and parents. As we strive to reach the highest level of success the words shall always be before us, All Good Or Nothing. COLORS The Senior Class of Walnut High School chose as its colors, white, yellow and lavender-not for the colors alone but for what they stand. White is the symbol of purity, virtue, and cleanliness of thought. White reflects ones personality like a mirror. Yellow is the symbol of the sun. It also is the emblem of purity. The expression on our faces always signifies the honesty, joy, and glory. Lavender is a symbol of wealth, but we as Seniors, let it stand for knowledge instead of richness. What grander colors could we hope to have as we leave Walnut High School facing the future with Virtue, Purity, Honesty, and Joy! FLOWER The Senior Class of 1950 has chosen the sweet pea as the class flower for many reasons. Its beauty and richness stands for ambition, kindness, and loyalty. As Seniors we have had the ambition to work for the greater things in life, we started from the bottom and climbed to the top, where we will go out into life to do for ourselves. We have learned that it takes friends, and to have friends we must be friends, therefore we must show kindness to everyone and be loyal to all our fellow citizens. 13
