Student Council during this year. Her Kissing Cousin was an experience that we have never known before. It was our first class play and one we shall always remember. This year Marcia Myers was elected Basketball Queen. we sponsored the first soc hop at W. G. H. S, We had Bill Baker from WIBC for our D. J, Our money-making schemes were a skating party, suppers and concessions at ball games, Halloween Festival, gas sale, and car wash. Not to be forgotten is the Christmas party at Melinda Hendry's home. Much of the credit for our accom- plishments must be given to our sponsors, Miss Bird and Mr. Bridge. Seventeen dignified seniors walked the halls of dear old W. G. H. S. for the last year. J. W. Mendenhall and Saundra Otis withdrew during the summer, and Wilma Figg joined our class. Officers for the year were Jack Gordon, President, Mike McCauley, Vice Presidentg Jerry Mikels, Sec- retanyg Melinda Hendry, Treasurer. we followed the tradition of initiating the freshmen into high school and gave the customary party for them that night. Our first money-making scheme of the year was magazine sales. Agreed: we won the race and this year we were the junior's guests to a turkey supper. We went to Indianapolis in October to have our pic- tures made. With autumn came play practice. we presented EverZbody's Crazy on November 19. Among the many experiences new to us this year were the publication of the newspaper and the yearbook. we are indebted to Miss Jackson for her help in these tasks. Our profitable activities were con- cessions, suppers, a skating party, and a soc hop. we had our Christmas party at the juniors and sophomores who and who had helped us with announcements, name cards, school and invited some of the were ushers at the class play concessions. we selected our class flower Cthe peppermint carnationl, and our motto, WOut of school life, into 1ife's school,U Our class colors were red, black, and white.
