Students beginning their first year at Walnut were Dale Hutson, Paul Lawther, Larry 'Brown, Jerry Moore, Don Delaplane, Grace Engle, Jean Kalman, Virg- inia Murray, Winnie Richards, and Tom Gibbons, Grace Engle withdrew during the year. A C ' J- Jr J Juniors and served them supper Other highlights of the year were the presentation of the class play, Just Ducky, and the party afterwards at the home of Denny Overdorf The school routine was upset by the taking of pictures for the yearbook The ye rbook was successfully completed and all the copies were sold before the end of the year. Money for the senior trip was made in the usual way candy sales, concessions, suppers, skating parties, soc hops, and the sale of yearbooks Having accumulated the necessary amount of money, we left on our class trip to Washington, trip was one long to be remembered. Our Baccalaureate was held on Sunday afternoon, May 18, and our Commencement exercises were on Wednesday, Nay 21, Dick Leach, Denny Overdorf, Denny Knapp, and Bob Fox ere valedictorians We treaded down the halls for the last time as students with heavy hearts, but bright futures. D. C. and New York on April 27 and returned on May 3. Dick Leach seems to be doing pretty well as principal and coach of Leach High School, following in the footsteps of school rival, Sheridan Sonn Hazelbaker has a large agency in Lapel for the sale o or s Orange and white ones, of course J Sandra Kakasuleff was never one to be out done,and she is se' ing rvets In Tipton and Alexandria. It seems that we must have a lot of independent persons in our class because only one is married yet That person is Mari a Kin who has five chlldren and is busy carlng for them an er usband. Winnie Richards is now llvlng in Texas as a model.
