apiigerg In the year 1965, you will find nothing will be im- possible. Take a short cruise of the world in your new supersonic Mercury Mobile. Perhaps you will meet some interesting characters, as we did. While waiting for clearance at New York's suspended airport, we found one of our old class members in charge of all supersonic travel. Marion House insisted we go with him to his home in the outskirts of town and have dinner with him and his wife, the former Marcia Davis. We were interested to learn that our own L23 Qgrson has been appearing regularly on Eddie Fisherfs Platter Party. Lou is hitting all the newspaper's gossip column features--she may become Eddie's fifth conquest. Leaving Skip's beautiful home, we took off toward far-away Ethiopia, the land of darkness and mystery. There in Addis Ababa, we saw a familiar sign--Barnard's Sales. Upon investigation, we discovered Red himself, Bill Barnard, selling, of all things, the new Crosley. Bill told us he was employing one of our friends, Fred Knapp, as his head mechanic. Does this mean an automo- bile repairman or a psychiatrist? Having heard of Paris--its beautiful buildings and fascinating women--we decided to stop, just to see for ourselves. It is not at all unusual to see posters ad- vertising American singers and dancers in foreign coun- tries. But when you see Sandra McClintick staring at you from a bill-board, that's something else. Sandra has kept in close contact with her girl- friend, 233 Murray. Pat is a stewardess on a ship that makes frequent cruises around the Mediterranean Sea. The captain of the ship is another one we know, Dick Mosbaugh. He is still under the influence of the Navy. Continuing on the trip, we headed north to the cold Arctic Circle. Below were several hundred dogs per- forming tricks in regular formations. Our curiosity was getting the best of us, so down we went. Charles King met us when we landed and brought some warmed blubber to nourish us. He told us of his new-found talent. He could train sled-dogs to do circus tricks and was making millions with Ringling Brothers Circus. India was our next destination, another land of mystery. It has been rumored that this country was be- coming known for its splendid motels. In desperate need of rest, we stopped at the first one we could spot. To our great surprise, we saw a familiar face--Larry Hunter Larry had established a fine chain of motels. To go along with his motels in all countries, he had a chain of sweethearts.

Our next stop was Burma. Arlene Mosbaugh welcomed us into her neat little hut where she lived while com- pleting her missionary work. She told us of her plans to marry a rich Rangoon merchant and showed us her en- gagement ring made of monkey's claws. While refueling at the Philippines we snacked and read a local newspaper. The big news of the day was the opening of a new hospital on the island. Wilma Perkins was being installed as the head nurse at the hospital. Skimming over the ocean, we began to think of the United States and our next visit, Hollywood. The big thrill of the moment is a new-comer from the Mid-West, Beverley Johnson. Do you remember that Beverley always felt inferior because she looked so young and innocent? In Hollywood she is acting in roles of elderly women and widows. She is currently co-starring in a movie of Lassie's, but it looks as if her manager Jerry Rulon has bigger and better possibilities in view. We hopped over to the Salt Flats surrounding Salt Lake City and viewed the small truck farming. Here Vonda Hunter waved at us, so we stopped. Vonda, a farmer at heart, was trying her hand at raising hybrid sweet potatoes. She gets very disgusted though, because the race cars are constantly running through her gardens and destroying her plants. Near Denver we found Gail Morgan with gold dust in his hair and on his hands. He has controlling interest in a large mint, but he refused to give any samples, even to old friends. In Texas everything is big. Here was Paul Lively, still wearing his big boots. Paul had purchased one of the largest ranches in the entire state. He was doing a thriving .business because he could make his cattle be- have just by snapping his fingers. He was also a success in the rodeos. Oakridge, Tennessee has been an important key- location for several years since Grant Carey took charge of the Atomic Energy Match Company. His ideas have been exploding sky-high! Water-minded Qim Johnggg was in the sunny state of Florida, giving free ski lessons. We decided to enroll in the class, but Jim turned us down. He is accepting only female students, of his own picking. We warned you--In the year 1965, you will find nothing impossible.
