SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We wtll graduate May 23 1958 as a class of eleven Seven of us have spent all twelve years at Walnut Creek Along the way we have both lost and gained In our early years we lost several boys to the Jumor Class Doyle Mrller Joxned us m1d way 1n the f1rst grade In the fourth frfth and srxth grade we were Joxned by Shrrley Kerth and Mtke who became permanent members Although we had the large class of srxteen as freshmen we lost John Yoder and Ezra By ler but we had garned Mary and Martha Mullet As Sophomores we lost a great help rn losmg Duane Mrller and so we entered the Jumor Class wlth thlrteen Our ftnal loss came when Mary and Martha transferred to E M C for their Senlor year So we graduate as eleven Our years have been busy and we have had many troubles but when we look back we wxll remember the many good t1mes we experienced as a class all along the way Lucllle Schrock SENIOR CLASS POEM We re proud of th1s our Senior Class To show achrevements down the years And hopmg years that come to pass Ioan a neat and pretty lass Has added sparkle to our class Rlchard s been our prestdent To do the best seemed h1s Intent Sh1rley brought great honors back Speaklng and learnrng wlth nothtng to lack To Harrlett we attrrbute our fun She s always there when work s to be done It s nlce that Carol IIVQS so near to school When somethrng IS needed we go there as a rule Lucle keeps the score for our team As our secretary she s rlght on the beam To prospect for uranium 15 hrs call Another basketball player xs Mlke To dxsagree he seems to l1ke Lowell a qulet retrrtng lad But when he s around you can t be sa From Doyle we expect a great businessman To accomplxsh thts we should gxve htm a plan As for myself I llke basketball best And hope to be a teacher so l can give the test We wlsh to you all the best luck and cheers I-loplng you ll remember us throughout the comxng years Nancy Gerber Will bring back joy instead of tears. SENIOR CLA SS PROPHECY I was rn Cleveland rn 1970 whrle the play rn whrch I was actrng came there for a one nrght stand and who should I meet but Lucrlle Schrock an old classmate' The talk naturally came around to the rest of our class and what they were dorng I asked what Lucrlle was dorng rn Cleveland and she told me she was lrvrng there' After graduatron Lucrlle went to work as a secretary for large advertrsrng frrm From the moment the boss s handsome son saw her he knew thrs was lt They are now marrred and are lrvrng happrly wrth therr three wonderful children Doyle Mrller or Chabby as everyone called hrm rs now manager of the rnternatronal concern of Trarl Bologna He rs lrvrng wrth hrs wrfe and srx chrldren rn hrs mansron on a hrll overlookmg the great munrcrpalrty of Trarl I naturally wondered about Harrrett Stutzman who was our class comedrenne She had gone to work at Wooster co lege and whrle there she met her perfect mate a fellow who loved the farm as much as she drd They own a large farm rn Wayne county If you re ever drrvrng along the road and you see a beautrful whrte house wrth a large lawn rn whrch there are several chrldren playrng and off to one srde a barn wrth the name Green Acres on rt you ll know Harrrett lrves there Remember how Kerth Hershberger always wanted to be a uranrum prospector Well he got a gerger counter and headed West all rrght but he never drd frnd uranrum Through hrs prospectrng he became very rnterested rn rocks and what rs rn them so he took up the study of mrneralogy He s dorng very well rn hrs freld and rs known as a noted authorrty on the subject Nancy Gerber was always known as a wonderful pranrst She contrnued her study after school and rs kept busy tour rng all over the world grvrng concerts I saw rn the newspaper last week that she is scheduled to perform rn Madrson Square Gardens rn the very near future I hear there rs a fellow eager to marry her as soon as she can frnd the trme I wasn t a brt srrrprrsed when Lucrlle told me what Carol l-lamsher was dorng because she was always so patient and helpful that I knew she would make a wonderful nurse She s now drvrdrng her trme between makrng her husband Rrchard Schrock worked for hrs father awhrle but decrded the lumber busrness wasn t qurte what he wanted He went to Kent State Unrversity and took up engrneerrng At the present he s lrvrng rn Wooster wrth hrs wrfe and four chrldren where he rs head of an engineerrng frrm Lowell Hostetler took over hrs fathers hardware busrness and surprrsed us all by the look of the Cadrllacs he drrves he must be qurte successful I heard that he s plannrng to expand and start a complete charn of stores Remember how Joan Gerber was always tryrng to save money to buy a rrdrng horse?
