OUR PAST STORY Well here we are almost at the end of our 12 years of school We hope we have ac compllshed somethmg valuable and that we yylll leaye behmd semethmg that will remam and stand as a guldepost for iomeone else We started off as lgnorart but Wllllllg to learn youngsters m 1943 That seems hke a .long time ago Through the first 6 years we had yarxous teachers We also had some class mates that are not with us anymore Durlng our 4th year we had the privilege of addmg to our class the pumls from the Trall School We all remember the partles we used to haye ln the grades and the recesses too The years followmg were very mterestmg We were upstau-s then That made us feel as lf we really were somethmg' In our nmth year we lost a very valuable member Doran Hostetler That left only 1 boy wlth 6 gurls We pltled h1m very much But the next year we acquired another boy Jay Hostetlcr Thats the way lt stands to- ay Our Junlor year was very busy We put out the Anvll which we thought was tops We also gaye our first play Our Gal Sal It was Ieallv fun Some of us were really ner yous but that soon passed After several changes and nuld disagree ments we decorated for the Junlor Semor banquet When the final ey enmg came It was wonderful but It was oy er too soon Now we are busy plannmg for our seruor tnp and graduatlon This requlres tune brams and well lf we must say lt help from someone else In lust a few months we w1ll say good bye to good old W C H S Perhaps the follow mg students will haye a bigger and better hugh school but no one will ey er take the place of Walnut Creek where we haye spent a very enyoy able 12 years SENIOR CLASS WILL Marlan Gerber wllls her Job as casluer to Myma Kendle and her abllxty to get along with people to Swetlana Flu Hershbergefr wllls his abllxty to play basketball to Doyle and hlS gurl troubles to John Yoder Sue Miller wllls her ablllty to cheer lead to Marlorle and her XOICE to Harriet Sally Hostetler wllls her musical ablllty to play the saxophone to Rlchard S and her ablllty to keep frlends to Gwen Mlller JoAnn Hostetler wllls her grades m Typing II to Damel and her abnllty to get along w1th the teachers to cousm Phlllp Allene Kendle xullx her red curly han' to Luulle Schrock and her majorette abllltv to Shirley M June Cerber wllls her abnlltv to keep the Henry J running to Larry Flmner and her A m Bookkeeping to My cola Jay Hostetler wills h1s mornmg nulk route to Marcus and his second Junmy Durante nose o 'ancy Cerber To all the teachers vse wlll our gray hatr 'md all our mtelhgence To the rnntor ue yylll our messes from grade one through tyyelye especmlly the can ed desks yyhen yye yy ere old enough to know Cupid The Senior Class x 1 . . . . .
