Exams over, we attended Moving Up Day and with awe realized that we were finally seniors. In September of l95M we returned to elect Dotty as President Marvin as Vice President, Martha Belle as Secretary and Rob Decker as Treasurer. with Mr. Law as our devoted advisor we started the year off right by having a dance, we so brilliantly called the nSenior Splashn. This was a bang up success that netted 370. This brought our treasury up to 6890. only 3310. from our goal -- wash ington. To add a little more to our treasury we decided to sell those cute bracelets with our Alma Mater on them. In between this and our senior play we had profitable food sales. On March 10 and ll we put on a superb production of nFamily Circlen with Miss Lyons as our director. with this over we realized it was April ll -- time for us to spend a spectacular week in Washington. we will never forget the joyous times we had there with Mr. and Mrs. Keller and Mr. Wood- worth. With exhaustion and memories we returned to school to pre- pare for our final examsg looking forward to the final goal of our school years -- nGraduationn. The Class of 'SS awaits with anticipation and yet regret the final day when the last bell has rung and the last speech made. We wish to thank all those who have made this achievement -ssible and hope to prove worthy, NFrom This Day Forwardn.

CLASS HISTORY The Class of '55 realizing that its full history is too long and colorful, hopes to summarize it on the following pages. In September of l95l we entered our freshman year with John Meyer, President. Our advisors were Miss wisdom, now Mrs. Birdsall, and Miss Roeck. Our activities were a dance, which was a big suc- cess, and the sale of Christmas Cards. we ended our freshman year with a picnic at Bear Mountain. The Bear Mountain trip was enjoy- able when we finally arrived. The trouble was trying to get there. The bus we hired blew its top. We'll never forget Mr. Jirinic and John Repke climbing over hill and dale to get to streams for water for the radiator. The year of 1952 found us as sophomores. we started this year with wilson Edmunds as President. Miss Roeck and Mr. wood- worth were our advisors. we opened our year's activities selling Christmas Cards. This proved profitable. Then we turned to the planning of a supper which was a great success. We finished out the year with the most beautiful dance wallkill has ever seen, the WSpring Flingn we spent a great deal of time on our decorations. Some of the girls will never forget staying up until 2 o'clock the night before the dance making the paper carnations that were placed everywhere. A new rule was passed that no more class trips could be made to Bear Mountain, so this year was ended without a picnic. we came back in the fateful year of 1953 as nJazzy Juniorsn with one big thought in mind, our class rings. A few of us were thinking about our variety show and prom. In the meantime we were all shocked by the death of one of our former classmates, Lily Scotto. We again elected Wilson Edmunds, Presldentg Dotty Conner, Vice President, Ruth Martino, Secretary, and Rodney Gregg for the third year as Treasurer. Our advisor was Mr. Miller. After much discussion our class by a unanimous vote selected our ring -- the best in wallkill, past, present, or future! To celebrate our cham- pionship football team we had a dance, the WFootbal1 Hopn with the coronation of the football king and queen. Everyone was coming to the dance but as luck would have it, it snowed and we made 3.50. we turned to a supper and again due to icy roads, we won't mention the outcome of this. After this supper Mr. Ostrander became our advi- sor. With washington in mind, we started plans for our variety show with Miss Soper as director. we called it WShow of Showsn. The lo- cale was Paris. The people that saw it will never forget those French Can-Can Girls. The class was so excited over the success of it, we had a celebration at Hasbrouck Hall -- let's not mention the details, but we all remember those letters home. Right after this we started planning for our prom nMoonlight and Rosesn. The gym looked like paradise with roses every place imaginable. Everyone that attended will remember the beautiful center piece, which was a rose arbor, that made a wonderful setting for pictures.
