The Boys Volleyball Team was not as successful as they had planned. They compiled a 3 win and 7 loss record in league play and were 4-9 overall. The Junior Varsity did a little better with a 7-3 record in league and 8-3 overall. Both teams were under the capable guidance of lVlr. Allen Cannon.

This year's Girls' Volleyball Team won its first District 12 Championship ever. Besides winning this the girls also won the Wayne County League Championship. To win Districts they defeated Blue Ridge, Honesdale, and Tunkhannock to advance to the State Tournament. Although the girls didn't win here they finished with a respectable 5th place. The teams' overall record was 15 wins and 5 losses with a 8-2 mark in league play. The team was coached by Miss Ann Pietrobon. The Junior Varsity also had a good season. Although they did not finish as Champions they compiled a 7-3 league record and an 8-3 mark overall. The JVs were also under the guidance of Miss Pietrobon. TRACK AND FIELD The Wallenpaupack boys Track and Field Team had another successful season this year. Even though they had a 3-10 record the team scored a very impressive 5th place in the District 12 meet. Our schools representatives at the state meet were Ron NlclVlurray in the long jump, Richie Campfield in the 330 yard intermediate hurdles, and Randy VanVorrhees in the pole vault. At the Suburban League Track Meet our only first-place winner was Richie Campfield in the hurdles. School records set this year were Rich Wulff in the mile run with a time of 4:55.6, Pete Southwick in the 2 mile run with a time of 10:48.8, Ron lVlclVlurray in the high jump at 5 feet and 11 inches, Richie Campfield in the 330 yard intermediate hurdles with a time of 42.7 seconds, and the M mile relay team composed of Ed Bogacki, Sean Smith, Ron lVlclVlurray, and Richie Campfield set a record with a time of 1:40.2. The Girls' Track Team coached by Nlrs. Edith Bender completed the 1974 season by winning the Wayne County Track Championship for the sixth time in seven years. First-place winners were Carol Pulici - 100 yard dash, Kim Schooley - 440 yard run, Laurie Abich - high jump, and the 880 relay team of Silsby, J. lVleling, Sheridan, lVlougnos. At the District 12 Nleet we sent 5 girls to states. They were Kim Schooley in the 440 yard run, Donna Laabs in the shot put, and the 880 yard medley relay composed of Kim Schooley, Jackie Meling, Vera Hanf, and Carol Pulici. County records set this year were by Kim Schooley in the 440 with a time of 66.4 seconds and the 880 yard relay team of above with a time of 2:08.
