RECOLLECTIONS Suddenly change and fear overwhelm meg I'm on the threshold of a different life. Will I see failure or success, Happiness or strife? Although the future is unsure, I hold memories in my hand. They are as unique and as many As a thousand grains of sand. I reach into the depths of my memory To recall those unforgettable days, When life seemed to drift by In a pleasant, carefree haze. So many of my hopes were fulfilledg Many of my dreams became reality. Then why . . . at this important time in my Are my thoughts filled only with perplexity? Friendship reminds me of promises And shared secrets and exchanged smiles. I remember tear-filled moments of sadness, And laughter at the change of styles.
