Straightforward and frank, Mit- chell Paul exhibited many trustworthy characteristics. Besides excelling in sports, he was also a high academic achiever. Having a realistic view of life, Mitchell easily gained the respect and friendship of his classmates. Looked upon as a leader of his class, William Newkirk's Warm personality won him many friends. His athletic ability also helped W-RH to a winning basketball season. These characteristics made him a good choice for outstanding senior honors. 138 Senior standouts exemplify Enthusiastic and optimistic, Rita Page gained the friendship oi many. Her natural beauty at- tributed to her being chosen as a homecoming attendant. Rita alsc served as president of the Library Club.

example for W-RH students Having a special knack with a camera, Leslie Jessup was a definite asset to the yearbook staff as photographer, in addition to her job as business manager. Dedicated and loyal, Leslie excelled in academics and in sports activities as well. 1 4. -sfl J' f Y' - Talented and intelligent, Kim Mills was a fine selection for outstanding senior. Her friendly personality and high academic achievement gained her the respect of her classmates. Among her many interests were piano playing and singing. f g y As co-captain of the Varsity Cheerleaders, Sarah Kenan led spirited cheers with enthusiasm. Sarah's glowing personality allowed her to face every problem with a smile. Sarah served as secretary of the Girl's Monogram Club and as a Student Council representative.

As a member of the Student Council and Future Homemakers of America, Gloria's interests extended in many directions. Her many fine qualities led to her selection of outstanding senior. Xi : K Wanda Williams, a quiet, soft-spoken student was truly an outstanding senior. She was active in the Student Council, the National Honor Society, and many other important student activities. Her involvement in school activities, along with her friendly personality, won her the admiration of her classmates. cl, -, avxalid .6532 Ui' ' I ' -EA cf Abffnilh' A very versatile person, Mary Susan Phillips was active in all aspects of school life. Ranking high scholastically, she played basketball for four years and served as co-president of the Student Council during her senior year. Mary Susan possessed a genuine love for horses, an interest which occupied much of her time. Scientitically-oriented Joseph Vilas spent much of his time endeavoring in academic interests. Serving as president of the Spanish Club and the National Honor Society engaged much of his time. As a copy editor for the yearbook staff, Joseph's unique writing ability became apparent.
