Education - Ta? 4 2 3 4 - -- 3-4 2 2 RAYMOND PACE ll Rayll Chorus ----- Sr. Play ----- Annual Photographer ,4 'sn , Q C C --- 1 61444 lfutoty Back rn September of l943, rn the lrttle western town of Wallace, fourteen lrttle Navalos were enlrsted rn the Wallace Schools for thenr frrst year of learmng The followmg were under the counsel of Mrss Cecul Easton Larry Muller Raymond Pace Bernard Strawder, Wanda Zerger, Lrly Beran, Karen Campbell Arlene Fleecs, Edward Funk Gerald Campbell Gerald Parker, Connre Padgett Sharen Smrth, and Gary Spurrler Patty Drlls lomed us an the second semester ln our second year of school we had the same teacher Erna Vandeberg, Peggy Ambert, Patty Skmne LaVern Steckman, and Robert Hooke loaned the trrbe whale Wanda Zerger, Patty Skrnner Robert Hooke decrded to leave us The next year our teacher was Mlss Ruby Matson We gamed Karen Smith and David Goad Peggy Ambert, LoVern Steckman Patty Dllls and Gary Spurrler decrded to go back to the reservatlon Our fourth year Bully Bowen Richard Henderson and Lorena Parker made therr way into Wallace Our only loss that year was Erna Van Deberg who declded rt was too cold here and went to Calrfornla Neanwhlle our teacher had gotten marrred and was now known as Mrs Longmore Durmg our frfth year our teacher was Mrs Dora Snow That year we gamed no one and lost only B xlly Bowen The next year Mrs Hazel Hultrquest supervrsed us Gerald Campbell Karen Smrth and Edward F unk left us ln search of better huntrng grounds We gamed Barbara Duggan and Phyllis Robb Mass Helen Hepler was our councllor In the seventh grade This year Sandra Young galloped anto Wallace whrle Sharen Smnth's pony gave out and left to get another Our last year of grade school we found Mass Elrzabeth Derbler teaching us A lot of changes were made that year as Dorns Hengen Monre Padgett and Joe Wordlow lorned us We lost Karen Campbell Connle Padgett, and Doris Hengen We started out rn hugh school wtth srxteen members In our tribe But as the year progressed Joe Wordlow Llly Beran, Sandra Young Eugene Yonker, and Monte Padgett left us leaving only eleven Our sophomore year found us facnng some new teachers Mr Fox Mrs Fox Mr E Mumma re manned wrth us Thus year our tribe remained the same an number as we gamed George Sloan and lost Gerald Parker The next year Doris Hengen Veda Beck Gerry McCown Mary Lou Harvey loaned us George Sloan and David Good found the trall too rough and drdn t go any further Our rumor year we put on our class play A Parr of Country Kuds We were hosts at the Jr Sr Banquet whrch was an Indran theme Our teachers that year besides Mr 8.
