Mr. Krumenacker as our sponsor. Our class officers were President, Margaret Griffin, Vice-President, Howard Gump: Secretary, Freddie Carpenter, Treasurer Ted Rogers. Our class flower was the carnation, and our blrd, the crow. Our motto, nLet the President Rule the Class.n Our colors were blue and gold. we entered the eighth grade and elected the following officers: President, Kim Smith, Vice-President, Lulu Swiger, Secretary, Ted Rogers: Treasure, Warren Robinson. Our cheerleaders were: Shiela Stire, Violet Bartlett, Martha Herbert and Lulu Swiger. Our class colors were maroon and white. Our flower, the tulip. The bird was the cardinal. Our motto, WLet the Boys Lead, and the Girls Follow.n we started our Freshman year with forty-five students. we elected the following officers: President, Howard Gump- Vice-President, Kim Smith- Secretary and Treasurer, Donald Hurst, Our motto was, nUnlted We Stand, Divided we Fall.n Our class colors were blue and gold. The class cheerleaders were: Sheila Stire, Violet Bartlett, Wanda Sulivan, And Lulu Swiger. Our bird was the blue Jay. Our sponsor was Mr. Plgott we entered our Sophomore year, with thirty-five students. We elected our class officers as follows: President, Howard Gump, Vice-President, Violet Bartlett, Secretary, Sheila Stire, Treasurer, David Hess. Our class cheerleaders as chosen are: Sheila Stire, Violet Bartlett, Lulu Swiger, and Patty Cochran. Our class colors are gold and red. Our bird is the crow, and our class motto is NForward Ever, Backward Never.n Our flower is the pink carnation. We gave our chapel, November 10th. It was based mostly on Veterans Day, and Education week. The class also gave the play, nB1lly's First Date.n Our sponsor is Mr. Ronald Allman. On September 6 1955 we entered our Junior year with an enrollment of 26, Mlss Esmah Orcutt was our sponsor. The Following officers were chosen- President Howard Gump- Vice- President, LaVaughn Shrader, Secretary, Violet Bartlett- Treasure, Ted Rogers. Our Cheerleaders were Violet Bartlett, Lula Swiger, and Sheila Stire, Colors chosen were yellow and black and the bird was American Eagle. Our Motto selected was, 'If the elevator to Success is Broken, Try the Stairs! ' We had an ice cream social on Ted Rogers lawn, in order to raise money for our Junior Senior Banquet. For the Junior Play we selected Rest Assured By Donald Payton. It was presented November 29 at 8:60. We also had a Variety Program, March 2, titled Hail The Hunkering Hero. On Friday March 30 we had our Chaple Program, which was based on Easter. The 3rd annual Harrison County Vocal Clinic Chours was held November 30, which included eight Juniors, as following, Sheila Stire, Lula Swiger, LaVaughn Shrader, Violet Bartlett, Howard Gump, Ted Rogers, Kim Smith and Roger McCormick. We entered our Senior Year at Wallace High with a task nearly completed. We elected the following officers. Pres, Kim Smith. Vice, Pres, Howard Gump. Sec. Violet Bartlett. Treasure, Lavaughn Shrader. Class colors are pastel. Class Motto. HCl1mb Though The Rocks May Be Ruggedu. Our Senior Chapel was Nov. 29, 1956. Class pictures were taken Oct. 15, 1956. We recieved our Pictures Dec. 3, 1956. Our class play was presented April 12 6 13, 1957. The title of it was. WCreeping Shadows,n a mystry comedy by Germaine Haney. enior Glass Will We, the Senior Class of 1957, of the High School of Wallace, of the County of Harrison, and State of West Virginia, being indisputably of sound and disposing mind and memory and about to pass out of existence, do make, publish and declare this to be our last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all former wills by us at any time heretofore made: First: We bequeath to Mr. Hill, peace, quiet, and content- ment, and gratitude for his constant help and encouragement throughout the years. David Hess-David became, after several years of thought, and undertaker. Albertia Sayers- Albertia is still at home slopping the hogs while waiting for Neal to graduate. Ted Rogers- Ted is now the proprietor of Rogers Service Station which was given to him by his father as a wedding gift. Grace Swiger- We see Grace twelve years from now taking care of a dozen little Johnsons. Roscoe Lynch-Roscoe is still going to Square dances so he can call figures and swing them too. Earnest Smith-Earnest is now Janiton of W. H. S. wonder what happened to Mr. Robinson? Ivonia Lindsey-we find Ivonia has made the grade of NThe All American House Wifelu Roscoe Shriver-We see Roscoe two years from now working as hard in college as he always did in High School. Cecil Burdine- Cecil is in the Navy, Scrubbing decks and riding the waves. Geraldine Bramer-Geraldine followed in her sisters footsteps, as a nurse and is waiting for a rich male patient. Byron Smith-We see Byron got married and is now manager of the Hotel located near Five points. John Robinson-John is now an All American Football Player. The cheerleaders were Kathryn Marshok, Edith Moore, Page Talkington and Judy Hill. Our class colors were gold and blue. Our stu- dent counsil members were Kathryn Marshok and James Hyde. We had Fifty-three students in our class, and Mr. Southern was our sponsor. We entered the second year of Jr. High with thirty- seven students. During this time we had one new student Dana Sharp. Mary Yeater moved away. Our officers were: President, Kathryn Marshok, Vice-President, Lane Robinso Secretary Hollis Heldreth, Treasurer, Freddie Barker. The cheerleaders were Kathryn Marshok, Shelba Upton, Mary Le Master, and Judy Hill. Our motto was, 'Be pre- pared.' Our colors were maroon and white. Our bird, the crow, and our flower the rose. Mr. Squires was our sponsor. On September 7, l95h, we entered our first year of high school with a total of thirty-three students. Our class offficers are as follows: President, Kathryn Marshok, Vice-President, Lane Robinson, Secretary, Warren Bartlett, Treasurer, Ray Webb. The cheerleaders are Kathryn Marshok, Florence Ashcraft, Judy Hill, Deloris Keener, Shelba Upton. Class colors Blue and gold. Flower, Daddy Britches. Motto, 'Be Prepared' and the bird the Blue Jay. The name of our class basketball team is 'Freshmen Boll Weevils.' Mr. Ashcraft was our sponsor. We entered our second year in high school with a total of 25 students. During the year 3 students quit. They were Freddie Whitman, Freddie Barker and Joan Fleming Our one new Student was Patsy Powell from Smithfield High School. Our officers are as follows, President: Judy Hill, Vice-President, Lane Robinson, Secretary and Treasurer, Beverly Talkington' Cheerleaders, Shelba Upton, Kitty Marshok Judy Hill. Motto, 'United we Stand, Divided We Fallg' Class colors, Green and white, Flower, yellow rose, Bird, parakeet, Our sponsor is Miss Helen Sowma. We entered our Junior year in high school with a total of 21 students. Our play was a western comedy entitled 'The Blundering Herd,' which was presented November 16. Our teachers at the party were our sponsor, John Southern, and Raymond Ashcraft, our Guest teacher. The cheerleaders were Patty Coburn, Judy Bartlett, and Gene Rogers. Our class co ors were blue and white. We entered the eighth grade, with an enrollment of thirty-eight. Our first meeting was held in room 6, our home room. President David Bates, Vice-President, Linda Smith, Secretary and Treasurer, Diane Hill. Our cheerleaders are Ricky Shuman. Judy Bartlett, and Patty Coburn. Our class colors are blue and gold. Our class tree is the weeping willow. Our motto, 'Boys lead and Girls Follow.' Our flower, the Rhododendron. Our class bird, is the eagle. Hr. Pritchard is our sponsor. We began our Freshman year with an enrollment of thirty-five. Our first meeting was held September 27th to elect officers, which are as follows: President, Linda Smith, Vice-President Joyce Carson, Secretary and Treasure Shirley Swiger. The cheerleaders are Joyce Carson, Judy Bartlett, and Mary Jo Smith. Our class colors are black and orange, our flower the rhodendron, our bird the bald Eagle, and our motto, 'We pull most when we pull together.' Our class colors are Pink and Black. Our cheerleaders are JoAnne McIntyre, Helen Goldsmith and Charlotte Dennison. We intered our Freshmen year in Wallace High School in the fall of 1956.
