ol of There's no food in the house, no coal, and no beer. What a perfect symb poverty! Using a poor virtuous widow as the heroine, the junior class presented the play, Widow's Plight in the Thespian Tournament. janet Bonebrake was successful in winning the best actress award. Next year's seniors have had a busy year. Shortly after school began, they elected studious class officers. Where else would Doug Olson, presidentg Norm Wiegele, vice president, Judie Wilson, secretaryg and Barbara Zoret, treasurer have had their pictures taken but in the library? This class has its share of honor roll students. A straight A average was not uncommon. The class ring is a cherished possession, and this year's juniors wasted no time in ordering theirs. Like the ring, both the junior play and prom are events to look forward to. Tryouts f the play brought forth hidden talent and just enough ham to make the play a hit. The prom was also successful and turned out to be a gala affair. Don't tarry, vote Gerry was one of the many slogans used by the juniors in elections, when Gerry FitzGerald was elected as student body vice president. These upperclassmen are represented in every school club and organization in Wa-Hi. They contribute many musically inclined students to the chorus as well as to the band. One third of Minerettes and Triple Trio are made up of junior girls. And the W-Club has its share of the class of '57. Activities, such as flag twirling, pep band, Hrill team, Key Club, G.A.A., tumbling, Goats, Ski Club, and the newly organized Future Nurses Club, recognize many juniors as members. To make money, they held dances and were in charge of the concessions at several games. of '57 has all the makings of big wheels and are fully capable of running the or The class show next year.
