.x I 33' H' PHI BI TA LAMBDA EDULATEON y OFFICL w 1 Z..-f Phi Beta Lambda is a Business Club created with the major objective of developing strong, aggressive business leadership. PBL also serves as a means of bringing students together to par- ticqaate in worthy undertakings for the improve- ment of business and the community. One of PBL's exciting undertakings was com- peting in the National Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado, July 5-9, 1977. Aileen Warren placed 10th in the Nation in the Ste- nography Division, and Cheri Pitts competed in the Data Processing I Division. Besides com- peting in events, the members also toured the Rocky Mountains, attended workshops, and elected National Officers. PBL recently conducted a candy sale and supplied coffee and hot chocolate to students during the winter months. Plans are now under- way to give scholarships to high school students planning to attend Wallace. PBL is currently making plans to attend the State Leadership Conference in Montgomery, Alabama, April 28- 29, where Wallace College students will be com- peting in a number of business events with other two year and four year schools to represent Ala- bama at the National PBL competition.
