SOMETHING DIFFERENT 2 ,gl V isfglltllll As new programs and activities are being added to our school, there some- times comes along something which is very unusual. I am talking about the Pea- nut Eating Contest which Coach Sammy Frichter introduced this year. The contest was held on Saturday, October the tvventy-sixth. Out of the twenty contestants the winner was Tommy Hartzog, of Clio, who now holds the world's record for the most peanuts eaten at one time. He won the contest by consuming 501 grams of sal- ted goobers or one pound and two ounces. In second place was Lex Mcfvtillian of Dothan, who ate 453 grams of peanuts. The contest, which lasted 15 minutes, will become an annual event in Dothan as a part of the National Peanut Festival. is 'ff 9- l I i i svn- --' 202
