BASKETBALL ATHLETIC HONORS fig From left to right: Moses Knight, captain, Wyatt Oates, and Terry Sellers. All the players on a team cannot receive awards, but it takes players working to- gether to make a team. The athletes which were honored this year were all chosen by their teammates. The Team Spirit Award goes to the player on the team that exhibits the best attitude in the role of a substitute. This year's winner was Wyatt Oates, a Sophomore from Headland. The captain, Moses Knight was the re- cipient of the Captain's Trophy. He is a Sophomore from Abbeville. Also for the second year in a row Moses received the team's Best Defensive Player Award. Coach johnny Oppert stated that with the help of Moses Knight the 1973-74 and 1974-75 teams were the best defensively in the 10- year history of basketball at the college. The college's Most Valuable Player Award was given to Terry Sellers, a Soph- omore from Dothan. Terry led the team in scoring with 393 points for a 15.7 average game. 191
