Read the book ulre now holding. tephen Payne: i9l Stephen was responsible for turning the udent newspaper into a newsmagazine. Every Thursday. He ok on Johnny Todd tthe witchl, women inot witchesl and blic perception of the Adventist church. He also destoyed his alth from time to time. Kathy Johnstone:thlWithout Kathy, the year would have been a failure. Because without Kathy, there would have been no Mask. Sober thoughts. She got it out on time, which is all we ever asked of her. Got most everybodyls picture in, too. Dale Peterson: l1 1 lThe SAC, which Dale called the ttalterna- tivefl was his contribution to the school year. He provided one of the best salad bars in town tolives, sprouts, mushrooms, kidney beans, garbanzosl, and lot of other healthy eats. He provided occasional programs in the SAC to flesh out its culinary offerings. Plus, he made the best mushroom soup that most have ever tasted. Kim White: t12t An appointed officer, Kimls official title was nPublic Relations. In actuality, most of his work was behind the scenes, the most obvious of which was coordinating the construc- tion of the kiosk. He also got engaged, but that had nothing to do with his performance as officer. thirteen

ASWWC OFFICERS Ten years from now, your mind will fail you, and quite hon- estly you wonlt have the slightest idea who your student body officers were back in 78-79. Most of you wonlt even care. but pay that no heed. The following is so you wonlt forget. Rusty Wilkinson: ill This man is from the Garden of Eden lYakima, to us commonersl. Rusty dreams big, and the bigness of his dreams were realized in February when Richard Dawson came to campus to help in a fund-raising program for a young girl named Jessica Proctor. Under his presidency, the kiosk was finished lin stolid leaps and boundsl, and some moves made towards completion of a lodge ithis year we came up with a site to build it onl. Kris Ordelheide: l2l This country boy from Colorado guide Senate throughout the school year. Some decisions wer monumental lsee lodge abovel, some not so lthey voted unan mously to adjourn each weekl. Plus, he stood by should he ev need to become president of the student body the didnltl. Kathy McHan Bi and Sue Perry: PM This duo came up wit a dazzle of SA activities throughout the school year lthey packe over ten in the first month alonel. The only way to tell these tw apart was by the color of their hair. Sue abdicated at the end c the year for marriage Glenn Balkins: l5i Part of the Colorado infiltration of the SJ officers. Glennls work, which was mostly behind the scenes included a well-executed Bible conference during winter quarte a number of on-campus Bible conferences, and an invitation t Morris Venden to conduct student week of prayer lwhich Ven den acceptedl. twelve
