Why is Walla Walla CollegeEhow was it born? With throat- clearing and a list of 66Wh9r8a88899 and the scraping together of $53,400 in cash and pledges? It d0esn9t matter. The few were willing to risk their faith on a shaky dream, and in the summer of 992 the dream took shape on a dusty knoll three miles west of pioneer Walla Walla. In early December the College opened with an enrollment of 101. That was 71 years back. Up to the present the College has neither attracted national fraternities, built a multimillion-dollar Student Union nor produced a single All-American tackle. $5 5327': E5' . E5'?
