To take the pulse of our library would require finding out which of the 435 magazine sub- scriptions arc wcckly, monthly, or quarterly; addingr the 5 daily newspaper subscriptions to the more than 60,000 books still makes the figure incomplete, for several priceless works are on microfilm strips or cards which save space and expense.
