In a way, what you find here depends on what you look for It depends, too, on what you are. Take me, for example. I'm right there no, there, half lost in the shadow of the balcony. I've been delegated to show you around a bit. Can't take time now to tell you about myself. Just thiSe on the whole I'm a pretty average sort and what I see here is probably what most people see having been around as long as I have.

College is open books in the glow of a study lamp the riot of class bells the quiet of a library carrel. College is questions; sometimes you surprise yourself by finding the answers. College is freshman comp themes, five-minute speeches term papers and quarter tests. But college means more than grode-point averages; it means a way of life if means work; it means worship, the beginning of wisdom. College is places you will remember for reasons nobody but you could say; chem lob, Columbia 0 practice room, one among many, a table at Bill's. College means people: it is learning the tradition of Hello Walk; it is sharing toothpaste hair cream and your mother's doughnuts with somebody called a roommate; it is having a shoulder to cry on; it is red roses and Omi pins. This is college. This, at least, is Walla Walla College.
