lal lo There is a road ahead. He who plows looks ahead. The builder sees the finished build- ing even though the foundation only is made. The student looks ahead to the close of school and the finishing of his course. Youth looks to the road ahead. He who would achieve must concentrate all his powers of mind and body on his life prob- lem. To him the toil and drudgery of today are but parts of the road he must travel. The goal and not the roadway is important. Success may come in the realm of the physi- cal or in the realm of the spiritual. The finer and more lasting experiences of life are spiritual. He who would be successful must learn to give—to give himself and all he has. He must pay the price. He must never expect more than he gives, for success is never found on the bargain counter. The road is Christian education which is bordered by the beautiful flowers of Christian service. The road does not end at the “Gateway of Service” but reaches to the portals of the Holy City. G. W.
