Because he has become a part of our lives in the building and maintaining of so im- portant a phase of our college program, we dedi- cate this book of memories to one whose kindly efforts have endeared him in our hearts. _: Those special moments of closeness to God are found in the quiet reverence of the Vesper hour. They invite you back next fall to look at a finished dormitory they will be very proud to present. The periodical room provides all current magazines for readers’ enjoyment in conducive quiet. Victims of spring fever — Arline Page, Melvin Freund, and Margaret Sturgill — ex- change ideas in the sunshine. We all get sleepy at times. President's Message Youth looks to the future. This book is largely a book of memories and is a record of the school year gone, but as we look at the pages of this book we shall be thinking of the future. What will each be doing one year, two years, ... from now? Will there be a continuing growth of character and pro- gress in things spiritual and intellectual? The world moves on. New discoveries are made. More and more comforts are desired and demanded. These all relate to the material things of life. Man has progressed in the modification of his physical environment and in the con- trol of energy so that toil has been changed from a twelve- hour day to an eight-hour day or less. Has man progressed in the spiritual realm? Individuals, yes, but man, no! Spir- itual life is not a product of the mass of man but it is the product of an individual on whom the Spirit of God has done a work. May the future bring fuller spiritual life to each one! — With plans for the betterment of our college, the board mee the campus to discuss our problems and their solutions. or } en io Dean Sonnenberg ably assists our Pres- ident in the routine of a busy school life. ts frequently on We found Mr. Booth following a very usual occupation—-examining slides through the lens of a dissecting binocu- lar microscope.
