Presiclenfs Message The most significant individual today in the Seventh-day Adventist college is the teacher. He moulds the character of the youth who shall be the leaders of tomorrow. He plants the seed which shall eventually grow into manly character and saintly living. He shapes the ideals and destinies of che church. The teacher's reward cannot be estimated by mundane values. His small remunera- tion is no equivalent for his services. The worth of his contribution must be estimated by che scale of values that obtains in the realm of the infinite, the eternal realities, it must be rated by the pricelessness of souls. But the teacher's reward is not wholly future. Although his aims may be misunder- stood, his efforts underrated, his achievements minimized by those who know little or nothing about his work, there nevertheless come to him many testimonies of appreciation of touching value. The still small voice of gratitude reaches him from multitudes of youthiwho have experienced the efhcacy of his benignant touch or have caught the vision of the ideals he attempted to make them sense. And so the glory of the Christian teacher never pales. His is not an irksome task but a lofty function. In the words of a beloved author and a great Christian, his His the nicest work ever assumed by men and womenf, He is thus the successor in direct line of that supreme pedagogue to whom it was confessed: Thou art a teacher sent from God. W. M. LANDEEN.
