There is seemingly neither a visible nor an invisible unifying aim among the multitudinous subjects in the modern college curriculum. Worst of all, the intellectual is divorced from the spiritual. The heart has been separated from the mind. Many educators feel that this situation is the result of our ultra-natural- istic education and that its end must inevitably be moral, intellectual, and spiritual bankruptcy. To salvage our social order there must come, it is said, a union of all the vital forces in our world. A Christian college such as ours has already in a large measure solved this problem. In directing and training the physical, the intellectual, and the spiritual forces of youth it has established a balanced program of education, the supreme and unifying element of which is positive religion. This makes the Christian college .a social and spiritual bulwark in a disintegrating society, and around it should rally all the friends of order, unity, and authority. ' W. M. LANDEEN.
