Provides Training For Empioynnent Building on the sound founda¬ tion of basic education, voca¬ tional education in the Walla Walla public school system pro¬ vides specific training for em¬ ployment. At Walla Walla High School, vocational education classes may lead directly to en¬ try-level employment or channel students into more advanced vocational education programs such as those offered by Walla Walla Community College. Vocational education gives students skills and knowledge for specific occupations. The main method of instruction is ' hands on ' experience, in a simulated work situation or an actual pb site. Vocational education is a practical alternative for youth who want immediate training for employment. It is ' paycheck training, ' designed for those who are ready to earn a living or fi¬ nance further education apply¬ ing vocational skills.
