The TJew Royal Blue ' was se¬ lected by the ROYAL BLUE Staff as the theme for fhis year ' s book based on the ' new ' idea equated with many aspects and products of today ' s society. Coca-cola intro¬ duced ' new ' coke, but after mixed reactions changed their label to plain Coke and Classic Coke. Con¬ sequently, the staff chose the Coca-Cola Bottling Co, as the site for fheir picture. Ray Marrero, editor, and Dirk Muse, photo editor, along with a staff of 18, only nine of them veter¬ ans, set out to create something ' new ' in annual history. Rally inaugurates all-club fundraiser RaBv. the Wa-Hi Pep Club, orga¬ nized a Fall Festival, which they hoped would become an annual event. All clubs were invited to par¬ ticipate by operating concession stands of all types. The carnival was held on the campus, September 28 from t to 5 p.m., and according to Lanee Alarriz, club president, It wos a success! Some of the more successful en¬ deavors were the County JaH spon¬ sored by the boys ' basketball cheerleaders; the Cake Walk, by JSA; the Bean Bag Throw, Girls ' League; the Balloon Dart, Senior Class; Go Fish, RaWy; and Rambo Squirt Gun, also by RaHy.
