The Devils landed a 31-6 final score in a great game against the Kennewick Lions. Brumback added the only PAT during the game. Murr managed to gain 93 yards, two TD s, and hauled in one pass for 45 yards. The Ei senhower game (19-21) was a heartbreaker as the Devils got the full message of how much they needed extra points. On the second play from scrimmage, after McIntosh pulled 7 yards for the Devils, Murr took the hall 67 yards for a TD. A 4 yard gainer by Harris set up Hein ' s splurge. In the last game of the year, Wa-Hi disarmed the Bombers 28- 6 and closed in a tie with Ike for 2nd in the Big Eight as Eisenhower fell to Davis. The rain stopped most fancy playing. Williams was in the scoring bracket during the night, as he roared down, grabbed a fumble and ran for a TD. Oury added all four PAT s. The Devils racked up a fine year tying with Ike for 2nd in the Big Eight with a record of 5 wins 2 losses and a seasonal record of 7 wins and 2 losses.
