Becky Mitchell does a graceful, but difficult form of the splits with apparent ease. Vickie Brewer checks her drive past Betty Young, Good control of the ball and good defense can make or break a team. Spotted by Mrs. Smith, Linda Rhode does a straddle hold on the sixteen foot long balance beam. Besides the balance beam, the girls worked on the uneven parallel bars, the vaulting horse, the trampoline, and mat tumbling. Debbie Pringle works on her free throws during one of the afternoon practice sessions.

22 Leslie Stockton, one of the senior members of Girls ' Sports, demonstrates her Badminton form. Girls ' Sports This year ' s Girls ' Sports started off with many matches of tennis and badminton. Next on the agenda was speed-a-way followed by a large number of girls turning out for volleyball. Volleyball and basketball Sports days were held at the Tri-Cities with about eight schools attending. Gymnastics also brought out a large number of girls this year for a very successful season. In the spring, there was much activity for the girls with all kinds of track and field events. The girls enjoy Speed-a-way, which is a fast moving, outdoor game.
