To Mrs. Ruth McDonald who for the post 19 years has been head of the Business Education department and teaching advanced shorthand, mimeographing, office practice and typing at Walla Walla High School, the Royal Blue Staff is proud to dedicate the 1964 ROYAL BLUE. Mrs. McDonald attended Teachers College at Lewiston and received her B.A. degree from Walla Walla College, Among the colleges where she has pursued graduate studies are Stanford University, University of Montana, and Walla Wallo College, With Mr, McDonald and son Jack, she has found time for a number of educational trips abroad. Four visits to Europe and three months in South America including a trip around Cape Horn hove been the subjects of her photographic hobby, Mrs. McDonald has truly gone far beyond the call of duty to be of assistance to her colleagues and students. Her varied experiences and knowledge have been an inspiration to her students and fellow teachers. 4
