Sadie Hawkins The annual Sadie Hawkins dance, presented February 17, 1961 in the Wa-Hi Girls ' gym, was quite different, and was enjoyed by everyone. The royalty was omitted this year, but Mr, Kamp added a special feature with his marriage booth. Girls ' League sponsored the dance and con¬ tributed the decorations which consisted of dog- patch personalities on the walls. Several bales of hay in the center of the gym held up Mr, Scarecrow and his sweetheart. General chairman was Kathy Mundy, assisted by Sandy Oleson. Other chairmen were: Pat Seaborn, Joyce Bailey, Mary Morse, Marjorie Lewis, Janice Nye, Gretchen Herrmann, Kay Mc¬ Kay, Penny Walters, Jayne Siegel, Bev Wilson, and Ann Schultz. Chaperones for the dance were Dr, and Mrs. Philip Siegel, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morrison, and Mr and Mrs. Robert Whitner, The Gems provided the music for the dance and pictures were taken by Dan Gluck.

Barn Dance The F.F.A. Barn Dance that was held in the Wa-Hi girls ' gym was decorated with bales of hay around the edge. Bales in the center of the gym surrounded Bill Hof ' s ram lamb. Tiger, The false ceiling in three shades of blue, created the atmosphere of an oldtime square dance. Mel Repass and his band provided the music while couples did several mixers and square dances, Kay McKay was crowned this year ' s sweetheart by Ken Frazier, F,F,A, president. KEN FRAZIER AND F.F A.
