In addition to the academic achievement, accomplish¬ ments in the fields of athletics, music, and other activities have been outstanding. The highlight of the year, however, from the point of view of the Superintendent, was your response to the request for help on the bond issue. Your cooperation was both enthusiastic and effective. The va¬ rious projects which you initiated and exe¬ cuted so well played a large part In mak¬ ing the bond campaign a successful one. May I express to all of you my heartfelt thanks and to the Seniors a hope for con¬ tinued success and enthusiasm in the years ahead. Arthur D. Jones Superintendent The publication of the Royal Blue is one of Wa- Hi ' s finest traditions. The record of the school year by pictures and words contained in this year book is valuable now and will become more so in the future as one relives that sophomore, junior, or senior year. The associations during the past year with stu¬ dents and teachers have been very pleasant. Best wishes, Seniors, for your continued success. It has been a privilege to know and work with you. W 0. Ledbetter Vic ft-Principal High school reflec - tions are always pleasant, No period of life is so rewarding. No recall of life ' s events is as exciting. The senior looks back in retrospect and evaluates what he has done. He does so in relation to what he could have done or wishes he had done. He looks ahead to the challenge of coming years and vows to do better and not make the same mistakes again. The Royal Blue Staff has blended to get her another book of happy memories. My congratulations to them for a job well done. To the class of ' 59 goes my fondest wish for success. So long. Seniors, Good luck and happy hunt¬ ing, K, A, Tidrick Principal Publication of the Royal Blue is one of the high¬ lights of the year. It is the climax of endless hours of hard work and careful planning on the part of those students who make up the yearbook staff. This type of effort and accomplishment typifies many of the service projects carried on so well by Wa-Hi students. It Is In keeping with the traditions of our school—traditions which have been built up through the years by the educational endeavor and worthwhile activities of thousands of young people.
