The Associated Student Body Cabinet carried out a ship- launching theme in the opening assembly of the year, ‘ The Launch¬ ing of the USS Wa-Hi 1 The purpose of the assembly was to intro dues the A.S.8. officers and commissioners to the students For the 1956 Homecoming, the girls ' clubs combined to build a moveable float. The boys ' clubs also constructed a float. The Cabinet-sponsored Homecoming Dance was decorated on o ' Frost Fantasy ' ' theme. In trying to promote better student governments, our Cabinet planned a district student council meeting and an exchange council meeting with Richland. An exchange assembly was held with Pasco to create better relations between the two schools. The Cabinet was composed of Roger Amundson, Fire Chief: Harriet Buckman, Commissioner of Organization: Leroy Farley, Qommissioner qf Halls: Patty Forrest, Girls League President: Bob Kittle, Commissioner of Buildings and Grounds: Larry Knapp, Boys ' Fed, President; Conrad Knopf, Commissioner ' of Traffic: Mike Nunn, Chief Justice: Barbara Porter, Yell Queen; Eileen Stone- road, Journal Editor; Patty Tachibana, Royal Blue Editor: Carla Troeh, Commissioner of Inter-School Relations: Dee Lee Tucker, Commissioner of Publicity; Brent Wooten, Commissioner of As¬ semblies.
