Administration The school year 1954-55 has been highlighted by an attempt to obtain money with which to build additional school buildings. T he primary ob¬ jective of our schools, however, is to develop character and citizenship, to impart certain knowledge and to develop skills which will enable those graduating from our schools to take their places in the community as good citizens and workers, I feel that the Walla Walla High School is doing a good job both in Hs curriculum program and in the so-called extra curricular activities. This annual is a good example. Congratulations to the staff and a sincere wish for happiness and success to the members of the graduating class of 1955. ARTHUR D. JONES, Superintendent Publication of the Royal Blue is a student activity that de¬ serves the support and appreciation of all students. It will serve as a means of reliving four very important years of your life. If you have made the most of these years, in ac¬ quiring knowledge and developing qualities of good citizen¬ ship through loyalty and service to your school, you will ap¬ preciate to a greater extent the value of this book. The fine job that is done each year by the Royal Blue staff exemplifies the willingness with which Wa-Hi students in general enter into the activities of their school. It is this spirit that makes Wa-Hi a school that we can well be proud of. ALLEN REYNOLDS, Administrative Assistant We owe so much to so few. That could be said of all Royal Blue staff members. Without this pictorial record of our school year, much would be lost after graduation. It has been a fruitful year in all respects. The man¬ ner in which Wa-Hi students work out their school problems is gratifying, t respect your good clear thinking. Congratulations to our seniors? they have done much to make our school year a success. ROBERT KLAVANO, Principal A treasure chest of memories is an apt way to describe the school annual, The Royal Blue. It will become increasingly valuable through the years to each student as he tries to relive his high school days through the use of this record. Many fine achievements were accomplished during the past year, through the united efforts of the faculty and students. Congratulations to all for your contributions. To the seniors, my sincere best wishes for your future. W. G, LEDBETTER, Wee Principal 10
